McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release MSTR® is a myofascial technique designed to gently and effectively release restricted scars and scar tissue at a pace to suit you. Unlike muscular tension and restrictions which can build up again dependent upon the cause, MSTR® permanently releases the scar tissue restrictions, although the extent to which this can be achieved varies with each client. As such it can have a profound effect on knock-on physical factors such as pain, posture and tendency to injury, as well as on the mental and emotional issues which can be linked to scars and the events that caused them. It is a highly flexible technique which can be effective for the majority of scars no matter how old.  Treatments are very gentle, require no specialist equipment and can last as little as 25 minutes.  MSTR can treat the majority of scars although recent scars must be at least 8 weeks old and your consultants consent may be required for a post-operative scar.  None visible scars and problems where underlying fibrous tissue is present may also find MSTR beneficial e.g  Plantar Fasciitis, certain cases of frozen shoulder, sports injuries (such as quadriceps and hamstring tears), underlying scar tissue from surgeries or tissue traumas etc.

Anna became an holistic therapist in 2004 when she was diagnosed with a bulging disc in her lower back. She was in so much pain that she could barely stand, let alone walk. Keen to avoid surgery she began to search for an alternative and, after trying several therapies, she found Bowen which quite simply changed her life and it has continued to do so.   Anna trained with UK instructors affiliated to the Bowtech Training Academy and qualified in November 2018. She gained a proficiency certificate in MSTR in January 2023 and has now completed her journey as an holistic therapist by offering Aromatherapy Massage and Reflexology too.

Anna’s clinics run on Tuesdays from 3.30pm and Wednesday mornings.
